Hat Creek Bank Stabilization Design (Shasta County, CA)

The project to stabilize a section of the Hat Creek bank near the old Carbon Bridge site was successfully completed in the spring of 2004. The project design was based on work done along Rising River to arrest lateral erosion, rebuild the stream bank to mimic historic location and habitat features, and discourage future muskrat activity.

The Hat Creek Resource Advisory Committee is working with CalTrout , CA DFG, and PG&E to delineate other high-priority areas for bank stabilization work.
